Fundraising Through Grief: Care, Donors, and Loss [DPP Lunch Analysis]
Join Elías Ortega, Ph.D. and Rev. Kathryn House, Ph.D. for a candid conversation on one of the most human dimensions of our work.
Fundraising is a relational profession, which means those of us in the field will inevitably experience loss — the death of donors, the end of long-standing relationships, and the grief that comes with them.
In this session, Elías and Kathryn will explore the emotional weight grief places on fundraising professionals, and why having a personal care plan is not just helpful, but essential to sustaining meaningful work over time.
About: The Donor Participation Project (DPP) is a community of fundraisers who co-create solutions to reverse the nationwide decline in donor participation (20 million US households lost between 2000-2016).
This event will take place over Zoom.
The session will be recorded and accessible post-event for DPP members only.
