Mueller Lake Park - Snack & Park Hang-out!
WHAT: Join us for a visit to Mueller Lake Park for a sweet treat, a variety of activities, and socializing!
We will begin the event by getting a sweet treat to-go from either Lick Honest Ice Creams or Lady Quacks Bakery and Cake Shop! Please bring money to purchase your own sweet treat if you plan to buy one.
We will then head to the park with some picnic blankets and games!
Activity Options:
Bocce Ball
Frisbee
Coloring/Drawing
Card games
Straight up chilling (reading, hanging out, etc.)
WHO: This event is for adults who want a relaxed, low-pressure afternoon outdoors. It is one of our lowest-commitment events, so come, settle in, and head out when you are ready.
Participants will be expected to stay with/nearby the group, as this is a social outing, so support persons are recommended for anyone who may find that expectation challenging. (Please RSVP separately for any support person).
If you are new to the ATX NCC community or have not yet registered, please do so here first to become a member and gain access: Open Google Form
WHERE: Mueller Lake Park - We will meet near 'Lake Nessy' (the art landmark by the playground and parking lot on Simond Ave.). If you put "Lake Nessy" into google maps, it will give you directions to the meeting spot!
See map location of meeting spot. See picture of meeting spot.
*Please be sure to arrive between 12:25 pm and 12:35 pm so we can head to get our sweet treats together. Additionally, please be sure to bring a water bottle and wear comfortable walking shoes that are appropriate for an outdoor hang!
COST: This event is free. Please bring $$ if you wish to purchase food or drinks at one of the Mueller shops or restaurants.
PARKING: You should be able to park along Simond Avenue or in the lot near the playground. Additional street parking can be found in the area, or there is a nearby parking garage in the event you can't find closer parking.
ACCESSIBILITY: This event is mostly accessible to all attendees - the park has sidewalks, walking trails, and asphalt parking areas, but being a park, there will be grassy areas as well.
*Subject to weather; a rain date will be set if it’s raining or too cold.
