Launch of the Global Landscape of Climate Finance 2026
The climate finance community entered 2026 at a critical inflection point. Following the agreement on the New Collective Quantified Goal (NCQG), attention is now focused on how to mobilize and deploy finance at the scale required amid tightening fiscal space rising debt burdens, and growing impact of the climate crisis.
Against this backdrop, tracking, understanding, and redirecting climate finance flows has never been more urgent. This event brings together the collective knowledge and solutions of the climate finance community to identify near-term opportunities to help focus on the near-term opportunities that can channel finance in a way that supports just, inclusive, and impactful transitions across both mitigation and adaptation.
The event marks the launch of Climate Policy Initiative's (CPI) upcoming Global Landscape of Climate Finance 2026, which will provide an in-depth analysis of the state of climate finance worldwide, including the scale and distribution of adaptation finance and persisting gaps in vulnerable regions.
This year's report brings updated numbers and expanded insights across public and private financial flows, released early in the year to catalyze action ahead of the World Bank Annual Meetings and COP31 in Antalya.
