About Event

We’re excited to share an invitation from the Center for Community and Public Health at Rice University’s Kinder Institute for Urban Research. They are hosting the premiere of Paths, a community‑engaged initiative that has created accessible grief and loss resources for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

Event Details:

Date: Monday, September 21, 2026

Time: 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Location: The Health Museum 1515 Hermann Dr., Houston, TX 77004

Throughout the day, attendees will enjoy screenings of the six‑part Paths video series, hear from project participants and community partners, join in an art activity, and share lunch together. This event celebrates the voices and contributions of adults with IDD, family members, caregivers, service providers, and organizations who helped shape these important resources.

We’ve attached the full program so you can explore the schedule and speakers.
