About Event

Weird Pride Day is a day for people to embrace their weirdness, and reject the stigma associated with being weird.

The sixth annual Weird Pride Day is on Wednesday the fourth of March. This year's has the theme of Weird Pride in a hostile world.

AMASE will be running a Lightning Talks-style online event to celebrate, together with Stimpunks. Weird Pride Day is for celebrating the diversity of humankind and encouraging pride in the things that make us 'weird'.

This will be a space for short talks related to being weird, or being seen that way. For example, you could talk about what makes you weird, or what other people seem to think makes you weird; about a book, song, film or TV show that celebrates non-conformity, and what it means to you; how you learned to embrace your peculiarities, and what barriers you faced; or about how to be safe and respectful while staying true to your weird nature.

Everyone is also welcome to just attend and enjoy!

Sign Up to Talk

If you are interested in delivering a talk of 7 minutes or less on a topic related to weirdness, please sign up via this form.
