Idealist Day Letter Writing Party

​Everyone likes getting personal mail, and almost no one finds time to sit down and write a letter even though they'd like to, so we are gathering to send joy from Portland. Write to friends, relatives, former teachers and others who'd love to hear from you — especially those who get left out because they aren't on email and social media.

​Or write to a stranger as a random act of kindness. We'll be partnering with the nonprofit Letters Against Isolation to deliver your letters to socially isolated seniors who would welcome something special in their mailbox and The World Needs More Love Letters to send words of encouragement to folks going through a hard time.

​We'll provide letter writing and drawing supplies, letter writing tips, and stamps, and deliver your letters to the Post Office. All ages and languages welcome.
