​Dads Rock the Block Day of Service with Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity

​At Dads Stand Up CLE, we believe that there is no greater gift than showing up for our kids and our communities. That's why we're inviting Cleveland-area dads to join us for Rock the Block, a high-impact day of service in partnership with Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity.

​This is more than a volunteer opportunity—it's a chance to put our values into action. Together with homeowners, community members, and Habitat volunteers, we'll tackle exterior home repairs, landscaping, painting, and neighborhood clean-up projects that strengthen community pride and help create thriving neighborhoods for families across Cleveland.

​As dads, we know that real change happens close to home. Through action, camaraderie, and a little Big Dad Energy, we'll spend the day building up our community while connecting with other fathers who believe in showing up and getting stuff done.

Who Can Participate: Volunteers must be 16 years or older. Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. (A paper waiver is required for volunteers ages 16-18.)

What to Wear

• ​Closed-toe, puncture-resistant, slip-resistant shoes are required.

• ​Sandals and flip-flops are not permitted.

• ​Wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting dirty.

• ​We work in all weather conditions, so layers, rain gear, hats, and sunglasses are recommended.

​Food & Refreshments

​Habitat will provide water, Gatorade, and snacks throughout the day. If you'd like something more substantial, please bring your own lunch or additional food.

​Parking

​Parking may be limited near the work sites. Please consider carpooling if possible. Additional parking may be available a short walk away from the project area.

​Restrooms

​Restroom access will be available onsite and may include portable restrooms or facilities at nearby project locations.

​Timing

​Projects begin in the morning and continue until the work is completed. While the event is scheduled through mid-afternoon, projects will likely wrap up before 3:00 PM.

​Whether you're a longtime volunteer or picking up a paintbrush for the first time, we'd love to have you join us. Let's show our kids what it looks like when dads roll up their sleeves, work together, and build stronger communities—one block at a time.
