Some of the best conversations in this community have happened on the move, side by side, with nobody checking the time.
So we are making it a habit. First edition, Sunday 18 October, uphill.
This Session: The Route
Sam and Eugene are picking the route and share it, along with the meeting point, a few days before.
Expect moderate: some decent climbs, but not too strenuous.
We walk, we talk, we stop when there is something worth looking at. There is no agenda. Whoever you end up next to for twenty minutes is the point.
Your Captains
The Outdoor Club is co-founded and co-led by Sam Logan and Eugene Reznikov.
Sam is the founder and Board Chair of Evidencity, a company that builds data intelligence on illicit networks to combat modern slavery. He has been mapping, investigating and helping others understand the criminal underworld in Latin America for over twenty years. Evidencity is his fourth company. He lifts, he kayaks and likes to work with wood.
Eugene is the Asia operator of the two. He knows Hong Kong and Singapore entity-building inside out. Ten years in Hong Kong, an office in Singapore and a first career in shipping and logistics. Originally from St. Petersburg. He does yoga, drinks good coffee and takes his steaks seriously.
Between them the wishlist runs from ridge walks to mountain biking, sailing, rafting and the odd canyon. Neither of them is the cautious one.
Both have been saying for a while that this community should get outside more. So they are taking it out.
