People in the Lead: How citizens' assemblies are shaping global climate action

​The climate crisis isn't waiting. Neither are people.

​Across the world, people and communities are already shaping responses to the climate crisis. The Global Citizens' Assembly connects this growing movement, building collective power and bringing people closer to global decision-making.

​This session brings together Assembly Members and community organisers from Indonesia, Uganda, Colombia, Brazil and beyond. Their experiences and insights, combined with experts' knowledge, reveal clear directions for action on food and climate.

​Hear directly from the people involved, alongside researchers, practitioners and climate leaders exploring what these priorities can contribute to climate action. Representatives from the COP30 and COP31 Presidencies will also respond, considering how they can be carried into the multilateral climate process.
