Anecdote - Glimpses of India
This Diwali season (Sunday, November 15 and Monday, November 16), we welcome you to the first installation of Glimpses of India, a tasting menu of coffee, tea, and snacks inspired by the flavors of India.
Through these tasting menus, our aim is to highlight interesting coffees and teas, and to present the traditional flavors of India in a modern and artful way.
For the first installation of Glimpses of India, we are working with Chef Alina Santamaria of Eleven Madison Park. It will feature six courses of sweet and savory snacks, and five of those courses will be paired with a coffee or tea.
Vol 1. Menu:
Mousse with Rose and Honey (Bai Mu Dan, Fujian, China)
Sponge Cake with Orange Blossom and Saffron (La Cabra Kenya Kiangoi, SL28, Rungeto FCS, Kirinyaga, Kenya)
Chai, Deconstructed
Guava and Paani Puri
Madras Coffee with Shakkarpara, Alfajor and Rusk
Affogato with Vanilla Beans and Dates (Maru Kemi Blend, 60% Washed Ethiopia + 40% Washed Columbia)
We're incredibly excited to serve you some delicious food and coffee, and we hope you experience a side of India you've never seen before.

Anecdote is a Modern Indian coffee company based in New York City. Our aim is to reinterpret the flavors, arts, and cultures of India through a contemporary lens, and to create a space that encourages presence and community.
FAQ
How much does a ticket cost? Do you offer any discounts?
Each ticket costs $100, and includes access for one guest during your selected timeslot.
The price reflects the care and effort that has been invested in the event, as well as the quality of ingredients and serveware used.
However, we wish to make the event accessible to as many guests as possible; if you are unable to pay the full price, please reach out to us on our socials (@anecdote.ny) or to Neel at youfoundneel@gmail.com with a price that works for you, and we will gladly consider your situation.
How long does each seating last?
Each seating lasts one hour from the start of your timeslot. We ask that you arrive no later than five minutes past your ticket time, as we will not be able to wait for late arrivals.
How many guests can each seating accommodate?
Each seating can accommodate 10 guests.
How much caffeine will I have in total?
Around 1.5 - 2 full cups of coffee. Light work!
What is your cancellation & refund policy?
If you let us know that you are unable to attend before 11:59PM EST on November 11, we will attempt to transfer your ticket to someone on the waitlist. If the waitlist is empty or if we are not able to find a replacement for your seat, we sadly cannot issue a refund. Cancellations on or after November 12 will not be issued a refund.
Are you able to accommodate for allergies?
Due to the highly complex nature of the dishes, we sadly cannot accommodate for any allergies for this chapter. Hopefully next time!
