About Event

Meet June Bower

June started her career at Apple Computer in 1981 when there were fewer than 200 people in the company.  She went on to many leadership positions in marketing including VP of Brand Marketing at Adobe, Head of Corporate Communications at Cisco, CMO of Webex and CMO of a start up that was sold to Alcatel Lucent where she became the VP of the department that bought her company.  Today she consults on marketing as well giving workshops to companies on how to succeed at work.  She is passionate about helping people learn what it really takes to succeed, something that took her far too long to learn through trial and error.

What You Need to Know Now to Succeed at Work

Did you know that being a good programmer or a creative marketer or great with numbers are simply not enough for you to succeed at your job?  Success ultimately comes from your ability to build relationships, understand the unwritten rules of your organization, influence and communicate clearly and with confidence.

The challenge is there are no courses to learn these critical skills.  But you can learn them, and if you want to succeed within an organization, you must learn them to be successful.

This talk is all about what those skills are and where you can get started to learn what you need to know to succeed at work.

We will cover 5 key areas.

  1. Why relationships matter and how you build them

  2. Influence, strategies and skills to increase your impact

  3. Why your boss matters

  4. Building your personal brand to get and succeed in a job

  5. How you can best prepare for the “real world”

Don’t miss the opportunity to learn what you really need to know to ensure your own success!
