About Event

Menopause can feel like a distant thing — something for "later," for other women, for another day. But the perimenopause transition can actually begin as early as your 40s. So how much do you really know about it? How often do you talk about it?

Join us for Virtual Campfire with Changemakers, our online gathering where we come together beyond borders to spark meaningful conversations, share stories, and hold space for one another. Host Carmen Chan, Founder of Girls Be Change, brings together a small circle of women from around the world to have the conversations we don't always get to have — up close, personal, and honest.

We're continuing our theme, "Owning Our Bodies." This time, we're turning toward a chapter many of us are approaching, living through, or trying to understand from a distance: midlife.

Our focus is "Leading & Loving in Midlife: The Threshold of Menopause." This session is a safe space to talk about the transition through perimenopause and menopause — the physical and emotional shifts, the identity questions it stirs up, what it means to keep leading and loving through it, the silence and stigma many of us inherited, the medical gaps that leave us guessing, and the ways we're learning to meet this threshold with more agency, care, and even pleasure.

Come ready to share, vent, question, or simply listen. No topic is off-limits. No experience is too small or too complicated.

Joining Carmen for this gathering are Leeliu Mak, a spiritual guide and somatic embodiment coach specializing in sacred sexuality and self-love; and Rebeca Cabezas, an environmental lawyer for indigenous communities and women's rights advocate in Peru.

This is not a panel. Not a webinar. Not a lecture. It's a circle. What's said here, stays here.

Come as you are. Leave feeling less alone.

In order to curate a more engaging experience, we limit each Virtual Campfire session to 10 participants only. This session will not be recorded.

And Our Wonderful Co-Hosts!

Leeliu Mak | Spiritual Guide & Somatic Embodiment Coach

Leeliu is a spiritual guide and somatic embodiment coach specializing in sacred sexuality and self-love, with 18 years of experience rooting into her own feminine body.

She helps female leaders, facilitators, and creative women move out of their heads and into the sacred intelligence of their Eros, womb, and body — releasing shame, reclaiming sensuality, and expanding their capacity for pleasure, visibility, and authentic self-expression.

Her practice weaves together 18 years as a somatic movement artist with training in yoga, Taoist massage, reiki, and death/birth doulaship, alongside 13 years devoted to ancestral Goddess and Earth-based wisdom — ancient in root, embodied in practice.

Over the past decade, she's shared this work with thousands across Europe and Asia through workshops, retreats, festivals, and online programs.

Her commitment to sustainable development extends to volunteer work with ARBIO PERÚ and the Loretano feminist collective "Furia Charapa."
