Audition Technique workshop with Donna Morong
Step into the audition room with greater confidence, clarity, and intention in this online audition technique workshop led by renowned casting director and acting teacher Donna Morong.
Donna began her career in New York City in the 1980s, assisting on some of the most prestigious Broadway and Off-Broadway productions of the era, including The Real Thing, Hurly Burly, and Brighton Beach Memoirs. She later transitioned to film and moved to Los Angeles, where she spent 15 years as a top executive in the feature film department at The Walt Disney Studios.
After casting Gone Baby Gone, Ben Affleck’s directorial debut, Donna continued working in independent film with filmmakers including Quentin Dupieux and David Lynch. Films she has cast have screened at Sundance, South by Southwest, and in theaters in Los Angeles and New York. Her current focus is supporting the next generation of actors and filmmakers as they build sustainable careers. She has lectured at Columbia University, UCLA, USC, and the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School through ICDA.
Throughout her career, Donna has helped launch and shape the early careers of many now-celebrated actors, including:
Anne Hathaway in The Princess Diaries
Chris Pine in The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement
Rachel McAdams in The Hot Chick
Jennifer Garner in Mr. Magoo
Heath Ledger in 10 Things I Hate About You
