Who it’s for

  • Developers who are new to spec coding / spec-driven development

  • Comfortable with Git and basic web/API concepts

  • Want to build “real-world” apps on Cassandra/Astra with a modern workflow

What you’ll build

  • A small but real database-backed app. Choose one starter domain or bring your own!:

  • Todo+ (lists, items, tags, recent activity)

  • Habit Tracker (habits, check-ins, streaks)

  • Bookmarks / Read-it-later (folders, links, tags, recently added)

What you’ll learn

  • How to generate and tighten requirements that are testable and scoped

  • How to produce a design that maps access patterns to a Cassandra-friendly Data API model

  • How to create an OpenAPI spec as the ground-truth contract

  • How to turn contracts into task plans that produce small, verifiable PRs

  • How to measure progress using evidence gates (tests, demos, CI)
