as a result our foundation models are smaller, simpler and have RL frameworks to become customized to the individual human user.
we are starting with an easier to set up openclaw that wraps around a character—we’re calling it sideclaw
ego AI is building character.ai + OpenClaw; an applied AI research lab, based in San Francisco & Singapore with an ex-Meta AI, ex-MILA, ex-Riot, ex-MIT team, building persistent AI characters that live across 3D worlds and the internet.
They speak naturally, handle interruptions and tonal shifts, and can choose to follow human users from games to chat, video calls, browsers, Discord, work, and even Minecraft.
We’re launching with a consumer voice and video chat app, built on a foundation model trained in partnership with the government of Singapore’s AI Singapore initiative & Menlo Research. The consumer app will be integrated with OpenClaw for plugins and skills while using egoAI’s framework & foundation model for personality, character consistent behaviors and human-like speech cadence.
