Michigan Founders Fund Pre-Accelerator powered by gener8tor - Kalamazoo Information Session
Are you building an early-stage technology company in Southwest Michigan? Join us for an information session about the Michigan Founders Fund Pre-Accelerator powered by gener8tor and learn how the program can help you strengthen your business, prepare for investment, and connect with a statewide network of founders, mentors, customers, and investors.
This free, seven-week hybrid program will select five startups from the eight-county Southwest Michigan region for its Fall 2026 Kalamazoo cohort. Each eligible participating company will receive a $15,000 non-dilutive operating grant—with no equity taken and no program fees.
During the information session, attendees will learn about:
Program eligibility and founder expectations
The application and selection process
Weekly workshops, strategy meetings, and individualized coaching
Mentor, customer, and investor introductions
Curated one-on-one pitch meetings and the Founder Showcase
The $15,000 non-dilutive grant and additional program resources
How the program prepares founders for investment accelerators and pre-seed or seed fundraising
The program is designed for early-stage, high-growth companies led by founders who have traditionally been underrepresented or undercapitalized in the venture ecosystem. Founders should be coachable, responsive, open to feedback, and able to commit approximately five to seven hours each week to program activities.
Applications for the Fall 2026 Kalamazoo cohort are open through Sunday, August 23, 2026. The program begins Thursday, September 24, 2026, and concludes with the Founder Showcase on Thursday, November 19, 2026.
