Beach to Brewery: Far West to Far East

​You've walked the Crosstown and the Double Cross. How about a walk straight across the city's midline? From the midpoint of the far westside at Lawton St, we'll head up to Sutro Forest, wiggle our way through Eureka Valley, drop into the Mission District, and climb up and down Potrero Hill to end up in the Dogpatch at Standard Deviant Brewery, midpoint of the eastside of SF. The walk is about 9.5 miles and includes SF's longest stairway and the true most-crookedest street. Plenty of great views along the way and plenty of options to leave at any point. Bring snacks and lunch for along the way. Take the N-Judah Muni line to Ocean Beach to find the starting point. The T-Third St Muni line is close to the walk's end point for return trips.
