Finding Somewhere Inside to Lay Down Our Arms
Life happens. Some moments are so calm and inviting that every part of us opens and comes out to experience them. A day at the beach, time with trusted friends, sitting alone in nature.
And sometimes life asks us to protect ourselves. We hold up a shield or withdraw more deeply within, so we're not exposed right on the surface where we can get hurt.
But the armor can extend beyond the threat. We come home from “war” and don't realize we still have it on.
The world may still be difficult. Can we find somewhere inside to lay down our arms, without waiting for everything around us to settle?
In this free, guided hour with Silas Dubelaar, we'll explore an intentional transition: slowing down, noticing what we're holding, and recognizing the environment we're in now.
Not throwing away our protection. Coming home to ourselves, disarmed where it's safe to do so.
