Knowing Isn’t the Same as Being Free
Exploring the gap between understanding our patterns and feeling free of them.
Sometimes we know exactly why we react the way we do. We recognize the pattern, understand some of its history, and can explain what we’re protecting ourselves from. Then life happens, and we feel ourselves doing it again.
What happens between understanding something and feeling a little freer?
In my recent conversation with Silas, we kept coming back to this. Knowing why the armor is there isn’t quite the same as being able to take it off. And when we spend so much time noticing where we’re caught, we can forget to notice where we already experience some freedom.
This workshop is a chance to slow down and explore that together. Through guided practice and conversation, we’ll make room to feel what’s happening, ask questions, and look again at what we think we know.
Silas Dubelaar will guide the session with Erik Horbacz. We’ll leave room for what emerges in the group; you don’t need to arrive with an explanation or share anything you would rather keep to yourself.
A humble invitation to join us.
