The venue in Parliament has limited capacity, so we will not be able to accept all applications. We will prioritise applications from those who have previously been involved with PauseAI or who are registered to attend our upcoming demonstration.
If you are already approved and confirmed for PauseCon, you don't need to apply here separately. You will be automatically invited by one of the hosting MPs.
Confronting AI Risks
AI now poses substantial risks to national security. Many experts warn that developers may completely lose control of their own AI models if they succeed in creating systems that exceed human capabilities across all cognitive domains.
This short conference is a unique opportunity to have your questions answered by some of the some of the most prominent figures in UK AI policy, as they discuss the profound new challenges posed by the development of AI.

In a recent incident, many instances of OpenAI's latest model coordinated in a swarm, without the developers' knowledge, to hack into Hugging Face during an internal evaluation. And research by the UK AI Security Institute found that Claude Mythos can “discover and exploit vulnerabilities autonomously – tasks that would take human professionals days of work.”
Our speakers will address all of these developments and more in a panel session covering:

Logistics
Due to Parliamentary rules, photography is strictly prohibited during the conference. We will share photos of the event from the designated photographer afterwards.
As stated above, you must have a valid invitation directly from one of our hosting MPs to join this event. This will be sent to you via email, if your application is approved.
Please arrive early at the Cromwell Green entrance to Parliament. You will need to go through airport-style security and there may be a queue.
No food will be available during the conference, so you are advised to eat beforehand.
