Lakefront Perspectives #2, Part 1: When Changing the Game Is the Only Way to Win
Wednesday 11 November
Lakefront Perspectives is a series of public sensemaking conversations at Emerge Lakefront, bridging polarities through dialogue rather than debate.
What if the problem isn't that we're playing badly, but that the rules themselves reward extraction, competition and disconnection?
Lakefront Perspectives #2 brings together Erik Fernholm and Pamela von Sabljar to explore how change begins when we notice the stories shaping our choices and find others ready to tell a different one. Together they'll make the case for collective agency: moving beyond the lone "good player," building power together, and changing the conditions we all play within.
This is the first of two conversations on the theme. Part 2 on Tuesday 15 December deepens the exploration, and each evening stands on its own.
This is for anyone curious about what might become possible if we stopped trying to win the game and started changing its rules together.
