Anselm Kiefer - Exhibition Tour
Watching Anselm Kiefer talk about his work, I felt there aren't many artists like him left. He is never satisfied, never complacent, and yet so light, joyful, and self-aware. A creator in the spirit of the Renaissance.
At 81, after 60 years of work that has filled the world's great museums - the Met, the Pompidou, MoMA, the Royal Academy, and Venice Biennale to name a few - he is still creating as if he were just beginning. And now his work is here, at La Pedrera.
Kiefer is a philosopher as much as a painter. Myth, science, poetry, and history all become his material. The exhibition brings together nearly 70 works, including 23 of his famed vitrines, his 14-part constellation paintings, artist books, and photographs.
I'll give you the background and the context.
Then we'll look, think, and talk together, and let ourselves be carried into his universe 💫
A rare chance to meet a rare kind of artist.
Let’s discover, ponder, and mingle.
Come for the art, stay for the conversation they spark 💫
