Croatia has been making wine for more than 2,500 years, yet for many American wine drinkers, its native grapes, distinctive regions, and remarkable wines remain largely undiscovered.
Join Mirena Bagur of Croatian Premium Wine Imports and Stephen Nasiatka of StephenUncorked for an evening that will be lively, educational, delicious, and anything but your typical wine tasting.
Together, Mirena and Stephen will guide guests through 10 Croatian wines presented across six thoughtfully paced food pairings. Expect a journey through different grapes, regions, and styles, including wines you have likely never tasted before and perhaps a few varieties you have never even heard of.
The pairings will feature smaller, creative bites designed to complement the wines without overwhelming the evening. Some will be classic. Others may be a little unexpected. All are intended to make exploring Croatian wine approachable, memorable, and fun.
This is not a formal lecture or a predictable progression through familiar bottles. It is a chance to discover an ancient wine culture through modern wines, surprising pairings, great stories, and the shared experience of tasting something genuinely new.
No previous knowledge of Croatian wine is needed. Curiosity is strongly encouraged.
