World Cafe: Farewell to my career ladder 再見我的職場階梯

​What happens when the career path we were taught to climb no longer feels like the life we want to live? The moment when you decided to leave, what were you thinking?

​This September 24th (Thur), 7pm at Urban Room, Quarry Bay, we invites participants into an open, reflective conversation about work, ambition, identity, burnout, and the changing meaning of success.

Through small-group dialogue in a warm café-style setting, we will explore the personal and collective stories behind the “career ladder.”

當我們在工作中努力向上攀爬，追求升職與加薪，卻發現實際過著的生活，並不如自己原本所渴望的那樣，你是怎樣想的？

​今年 9 月 24 日（四）晚上 7 時，於 鰂魚涌 Urban Room，我們邀請大家一同參與一場開放，而具反思性的對話，探討工作、抱負、身份認同、倦怠，以及「成功」意義的轉變。

​在輕鬆聚焦的「世界咖啡館」裡，我們將透過個人與集體故事，一起重新想像「職場階梯」。

​☕ What is World Cafe?

• ​World Cafe is a discussion format driven by intentionally crafted questions, designed for 12 or more people to Think Together. 🌎☕️

• ​In the process, participants are divided into small groups to discuss a question, and then join a new group to discuss the next one.

• ​There will be three rounds, each 15 to 20 minutes.

• ​After that, everyone comes together to share what they learned. We'll be able to take home the main ideas, themes, and insights that emerged from the discussions.

​📝 What can you expect?

• ​7 pm doors open. You can bring light food and finish it before 7:30pm.

• ​7:30 pm-9:00 pm World Cafe: Part 1 Small group discussion

• ​9:00 pm-9:30 pm World Cafe: Part 2 Harvest

​💰What is the cost?

• ​Standard: HKD 150 per person. This includes a $50 shopping voucher, which can be used in-store to support local artists.

• ​Supporter: If you wish to support the future of the World Café (where we aim to host at least one event per month), you can opt for flexible pricing, starting at $160.

​🏃🏻‍♀️What if I can't arrive by 7 pm?

• ​No worries. We understand that work schedules can be fluid sometimes. The first 30 minutes are for us to freshen up and get ready. Kindly arrive before 7:30 p.m. to join the sharing session. ​✨ What happens if the event has reached its full capacity?

• ​You may still register, but you will be placed on the waiting list. If someone informs us before the event that they cannot attend, I will contact you in order of registration. If you are able to join at that time, full payment will be required before the event to confirm your spot.

​☕ 甚麼是「世界咖啡館」？

• ​世界咖啡館是一種輕鬆、聚焦的討論方式，透過主持人(host)因應主題而設計的三條問題，令參加者對題目有更深入的探討。

• ​第一部分參加者會分成3-4人小組進行討論，每回合15分鐘，每回結束後都會交換組員，互相分享聽到的故事和觀點。

• ​第二部分所有人會圍坐，主持人會引導大家分享啟發，由於參加者在整個過程中都有機會參與分享和聆聽，所以我們可以得出集體智慧。

​📝 活動內容

• ​7 pm 稍息時間。你可以自攜簡單食物，並請於活動開始 (7:30pm)前食用完畢。

• ​7:30 pm-9:00 pm 世界咖啡館 第一部分：小組討論

• ​9:00 pm-9:30 pm 世界咖啡館 第二部分：集體智慧

​💰 收費

​🏃🏻‍♀️ 如果我晚上 7 點前無法到達怎麼辦？

• ​不用擔心！我們知道工作和交通時間有時並不穩定。活動頭半小時(7pm-7:30pm) 是稍息時間，你只需提早與我們溝通，並於晚上7:30前抵達參加「世界咖啡館」部分就可。

​✨ 如果名額已滿，仍可以參加嗎？

• ​你仍可報名但會被列入等候名單。如果在活動前有人告知無法出席，我會按報名順序聯絡你。如果你到時人能夠參加，需要在活動前付全數確認位置。
