Career Workshop: Guest Speaker Session with Edin Tom CPA

​Join Skillaroo for an energetic guest speaker session with Edin Tom, CPA, Business Manager at St. John’s Catholic College and St Mary’s Catholic Primary School Darwin. Edin’s journey will feel especially real for students and recent graduates, because he arrived in Australia as an international student and had to figure out a new country, a new system, and a competitive job market from the ground up. Along the way, he built experience through roles like StudyNT Student Ambassador, Budgets Coordinator at Kindness Shake, and Business Advisor at Moore Australia, before stepping into his current leadership role.

​In this session, Edin will share the honest version of his career story, what helped, what didn’t, and what he’d approach differently now. He’ll talk about how to build confidence in the job search, how volunteering and networking can open doors, and what it takes to grow once you land that first role. If you’re an international student, a recent graduate, or studying accounting, business, or finance, this is a great chance to hear practical advice and ask questions from someone who has been through it and come out the other side.
