Fundraiser event: Soundbath Meditation for the Stupa
Fundraiser: Sound Meditation for the Stupa
An hour of listening, presence & impermanence
Kagyu Samye Dzong Dublin is creating an Enlightenment Stupa, a sacred monument representing the path to awakening and a lasting source of blessing and merit for all who encounter it.
Join us for an hour of Sound Bath Meditation with Tibetan singing bowls and gong, offered in support of this sacred project. During the practice, we simply listen. As each sound arises, changes and fades, we have an opportunity to experience impermanence directly, allowing the mind to settle and resting in open, present awareness. There is nothing to achieve and nothing to hold onto. We listen to each sound as it comes and goes, returning gently to the present moment. The session is gentle and accessible, with no previous meditation or Sound Bath experience necessary. You may sit on a cushion or chair, or lie down if that is more comfortable. Please bring anything you need to feel at ease.
The Meaning of the Stupa
A stupa is a powerful symbol within Buddhist tradition, representing the journey towards awakening and liberation. It is also a place of prayer, offering, devotion and contemplation, a sacred presence intended to benefit all beings. By supporting the Enlightenment Stupa at Kagyu Samye Dzong Dublin, you are helping to create a lasting place of blessing, merit and inspiration for generations to come.
The Offering
The session is offered on a donation basis, as an expression of generosity (dāna). All proceeds will support the Stupa project. In this way, our listening becomes an offering, and our practice becomes part of something that will continue beyond this moment.
