SESSION 2 — DESIGNING FOR RECOVERY
Intention into design
Thursday, 5 November | 1:30 PM CET
A recovery journey isn't simply a beautiful trip. It's a journey designed around what the traveller needs to feel different when they return home.
The Burnout as Travel Series explores how travel can become part of a more intentional recovery journey—moving beyond traditional wellness amenities to focus on the person, their needs and the outcomes they hope to experience.
In this second session, we move from understanding the burnout traveller to designing for them.
Explore how intention can shape every element of the experience—from pace and environment to activities, support and space for reflection. Using the WELL Compass, we’ll look at how different intentions can lead to completely different travel designs.
YOU’LL EXPLORE
How to translate client needs into travel design
Matching intention with environment, pace and support
Moving beyond wellness amenities toward meaningful outcomes
How the same destination can serve different recovery needs
Designing journeys with greater specificity and personalisation
Creating experiences that support recovery without overpromising
The goal isn't to add more to the itinerary. It's to design what matters.
