Fighting To Win
Fight to Win! A One-Day Workshop with John Clarke Popular Education for the Current Moment
Saturday, May 2, 2026 | 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM | PSAC Offices, 244 Pall Mall St, London ON
The forces arrayed against working people are more aggressive than they've been in decades. Austerity, extractivism, union-busting, and the hollowing out of public services — the attacks are coordinated and relentless. Our current forms of resistance aren't matching the moment. We need to think bigger. We need to fight to win.
Join us for a full day of facilitated discussion with John Clarke — a veteran socialist educator and organizer who has spent decades helping working people collectively analyze our situation and develop strategies for resistance. This is not a lecture. It's a working session: bring your experience, your analysis, and your questions.
The day will cover:
How power contains and neutralizes movements — and how those mechanisms adapt to changing conditions
The post-WWII settlement and why the forms of struggle it produced are no longer enough
The current offensive: austerity, militarism, the attack on labour — and what it would actually take to defeat it
Developing a London-specific analysis and response
Format: Discussion-based. No slides, no tech — just facilitated conversation. Lunch provided. Space limited to 30 participants.
Cost: Free / Pay What You Can — no one turned away for lack of funds.
Organized by the London May Day Committee and Forest City Solidarity as part of May Day London 2026 — a weekend of solidarity, education, and direct action.
