About Event

Have you ever wanted to expand the California native plant collection in your garden for free, or for practically nothing? It really is possible in one of two ways: 1) by cloning mature native plants or 2) by sowing seeds.

To teach us both techniques, we’ve confirmed a guest expert: Horticulturalist Alejandro Lemus from Theodore Payne Foundation. He will lead an in-depth workshop on the twin topics of vegetative plant propagation and of seed sowing — including collection procedure, preparation, ideal medium, timing, tending, and more!

All before our optimum winter planting season closes around March….

RSVP soon, as tickets are limited!

Please note:

  1. This talk will be held outdoors and masks are encouraged but optional. We also recommend that you wear walking shoes — we will invite you to take cuttings from the many native plants growing on the property.

  2. Save your registration confirmation QR code in a handy spot in your phone for us to scan.

  3. We will have a table full of informative and inspirational books for you to peruse or to purchase!

See you at 3pm, on Sunday the 5th of February!
