Native Garden Planning Workshop In Laurel Canyon - more info at: www.lu.ma/plantnativelc202309
Hi! We’re gathering again for our September meeting this coming Sunday at my yard on Lookout Mountain — this time to draft action plans for your (yes, your!) California native gardens — and none too soon either, since the ideal (cooler, rainier) planting season is coming up in just a few months.
Are you starting from scratch? Are you expanding your native plantings or just filling in with a few choice specimens? Bring photos, rough measurements, and categories of plants needed, i.e. accent tree or shrub, tall hedge, wall and trellis climbers, ground covers, grassy areas, etc. You can be sure there is a native plant perfect for the job!
It’s all about sharing — plants, knowledge, experience, even neighborly labor. Let’s pool our famous Laurel Canyon creativity.
As always, I will be gifting starter native plants propagated in my backyard nursery.
We are looking forward to chatting in the shade of our canyon oaks this Sunday afternoon, on the 3th of September….

Please note:
This family-friendly event will be held outdoors in a hillside garden, with sunny and shady areas, so flat shoes, sunscreen, and hats are recommended.
Save your registration confirmation QR code in a handy spot in your phone for us to scan.
We will have a table set up with reference books on California native plants and wildlife. Come learn and be inspired!
