UBC 2026 Hackathon: One week. Ship it.

Research, build, and pitch your wildest crypto idea. Whether you're a seasoned developer or this is your first hackathon, there's a place for you here.

HOW IT WORKS Build online from anywhere Nov 13–20. Then bring your project to Austin for the finals on Nov 21 at the University Blockchain Conference.

THREE TRACKS (pick one) 🤖 Agentic Payments & AI: Give AI agents wallets, budgets, and guardrails so they can pay for APIs, data, and compute. 📈 DeFi & Onchain Apps: New financial primitives (exchanges, lending, yield, derivatives, payment rails) that build on protocols that already exist. 📱 Consumer Apps: Payments, social, gaming, and creator tools where the crypto is invisible and the app just works.

PRIZES (they stack)

Track Winner: $2,000 per track
Best use of Solana: $1,500 per track
Best use of Arc (Circle): $1,000 per track
Official UBC Hackathon Winner: $2,500 / $1,000 / $500
Sponsor bounties: Gemini Prediction Markets ($4,000), QuickNode Streams ($500), ElevenLabs, and Grok Bot
Every complete, working submission can earn perks from ElevenLabs, QuickNode, and X Premium

One project can win several prizes. For example, a DeFi app on Solana that uses Gemini's API could take home $8,500.

SCHEDULE

Thu, Nov 12, 6 PM CST: Kickoff call (tracks + Q&A with sponsors) + Hacking Begins
Nov 16–19: Virtual workshops and office hours with sponsor engineers (Schedule TBA)
Fri, Nov 20, 12 PM CST: Submissions due on Devpost (finalists notified by midnight)
Sat, Nov 21: Up to 13 finalist teams pitch live at UT Austin. Winners are announced at the closing ceremomy

Teams of 1–4, and solo builders are welcome
Projects must be built during the hackathon
AI tools are encouraged
You keep full ownership of your code and IP
To win any prize, you must be at the closing ceremony in person
