The Power of Referrals · Fred Reichheld and Ari Weinzweig
Tickets are $40 and are sold by ZingTrain, not here: https://shop.zingtrain.com/products/the-power-of-referrals
That covers breakfast and a digital copy of Fred's new Harvard Business Review article on customer referrals. RSVP on this page as well so we know who is coming and can sort out rides from campus.
ZingTrain is hosting Fred Reichheld, the creator of the Net Promoter System, in conversation with Ari Weinzweig, cofounder of Zingerman's. Breakfast, two hours, in Ann Arbor. New Wave Capital is going as a group.
Fred joined Bain in 1977, founded the firm's Loyalty practice and was elected its first Fellow in 1999. He wrote The Loyalty Effect, The Ultimate Question and Winning on Purpose, and has since evolved the work into Net Promoter 3.0, built around earned growth: the revenue that comes from returning customers and the people they refer rather than from marketing spend. Ari built one of the most studied businesses in the country on the same premise from the other direction, one customer at a time.
Come if you want to hear how referral economics actually feed a valuation, where the loyalty model breaks down under pressure, and what any of it means when you are choosing who to work for.
