​Go behind the scenes of one of Switzerland's greatest engineering success stories.

​Join ASAIN and AusCham for an exclusive visit to Pilatus Flugzeugwerke AG in Stans, Switzerland's leading aircraft manufacturer.

​We will hear from Australian engineers working at Pilatus, who will share their experiences and insights into contributing to one of Switzerland's most respected engineering companies. Guests will also enjoy a guided factory tour, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the innovation, precision and craftsmanship involved in manufacturing Pilatus aircraft.

​Pilatus has strong ties to Australia. The PC-6 Porter, PC-12 and PC-24 operate across the country in civil, policing and emergency services roles, while the Royal Australian Air Force has relied on Pilatus aircraft for pilot training for decades, from the PC-9/A to today's PC-21.

​This is a unique opportunity to experience world-class engineering and celebrate a remarkable Australia-Switzerland connection.

​Note: Tickets are extremely limited, for a maximum capacity of 40 people aged 16+. Please register early to avoid disappointment, and join the waiting list if you miss out (we will contact the waiting list in case of cancellations).

• ​Meeting place: Meet at the portier at the Pilatus Main Site on Pilatusstrasse 1, Stans. The portier is easily identifiable via the boom gate.

• ​Cost: 25 CHF per person (10 CHF for students - undergraduate or Masters)

• ​Dress: Weather dependant: presentations and factory tour will be indoors. Closed footware is mandatory.

• ​Transport and Parking: Parking on site is extremely limited, even for employees and contractors. Therefore it is very strongly advised that visitors come by public transport and if you plan to come by car, you must note this in the registration form. There are regular trains running from Luzern to the Stans Bahnhof, with Bus 310 and Bus 311 regularly running between the Stans Bahnof and Pilatus Main Site.

​You can meet ASAIN/AusCham organisers (including Peter Bell, ASAIN) at the station in Stans - there is a 28 minute gap between train and bus when we will collect and coordinate the group.

​Note on Bus 311:

​Note: the 311 runs a loop in two directions. Both stop at Pilatuswerke but "Seelisberg, Bahnhof" takes 4 minutes, the "Ennetbürgen, Dorf" takes 20 minutes.
