​HEFT Gallery and Projekt Blank are excited to curate an Live Performance at HEFT Gallery as a part of TRANSMISSIONS, a four-week installation featuring Joe Doucet’s new diffusion-based sculptural listening system 'Volumes'.

​About Lea Bertucci

​Lea Bertucci is an experimental musician whose works revolve around electronic and spatial extensions of instrument and voice. In addition to her longstanding practice performing with woodwinds, she has created compositions for strings, brass, percussion and other instruments, often incorporating electronics and multichannel sound. With an ear toward site-responsiveness and acoustics, her work has expanded toward installation and non-linear presentations of her music, often staged in hyper-resonant spaces.

​About Chloe Alexandra Thompson

​Chloe Alexandra Thompson is a Cree interdisciplinary artist and composer working with sound as a relational medium. Her practice explores listening as a way of knowing shaped by Indigenous acoustic ecology and embodied practice, where tone, texture, and resonance shape perception beyond fixed narrative. Thompson utilizes field recording, synthesis, and psychoacoustic techniques which unfold as durational environments, installations, and long form performances to compose participatory encounters between humans, technologies, and land; treating sound as both material and method, capable of holding memory, disrupting linear time, and creating space for reflection and attunement. 

A current resident at Eyebeam, and Onassis ONX Studio member, she has participated in residencies at Pioneer Works, MIT OpenDoc Lab with the Indigenous Screen Office of Canada, and HERVISIONS x Arebyte (UK).
