Self-Talk Session: Love Letters to Self
At a moment when many of us are craving something more human, we’re choosing to come together in person for Kume: Self-Talk Session.
This February, join us for a small, guided gathering centered on reflection, writing, and shared presence. For this session, we’ll write love letters to ourselves as a grounding practice of affirming our lives, honoring what we’ve carried, and returning to a kinder inner voice.
What to expect:
a brief grounding exercise
guided journaling prompts
time to reflect, write, and share
a warm, focused, and unhurried room at Cafe 9
choice of one drink + one baked good included
Past participants have described Self-Talk Sessions as nourishing and deeply grounding, some even likening the experience to giving their soul a five-course meal. That depth of care and attention is what this gathering is designed to offer.
No experience is needed. Just come as you are.
All writing materials will be provided, including a pen. If you have a favorite one you love writing with, you’re welcome to bring it along.
This experience is guided by Yelka Kamara. Yelka is a storyteller and creator of the MyKume Journal, a guided storytelling tool for emotional balance and self-discovery. She hosts reflections and journaling gatherings across NYC that invite people to reconnect through words, body awareness, and community.
This gathering is intentionally small to protect the quality of the experience.
