About Event

This class is perfect if you're looking to explore or learn about nutrition strategies to help reduce risk of breast cancer and support long-term health.

We’ll dive into the research behind improved prevention and survival rates among individuals diagnosed with breast cancer, while also sharing recipes and nutrition tips that can help protect against the disease.

By the end of the session, you’ll leave with essential tools to begin integrating a healthy, plant-based lifestyle—with a clear plan and plenty of motivation to support your wellness journey.

The class features a cooking demonstration of delicious, health-promoting dishes, along with handouts of easy and affordable recipes participants can prepare at home.

This is a two-hour class featuring a video presentation on nutritional information explained by health professionals, followed by a demonstration of three recipes:

  1. Homestyle squash & pinto beans

  2. Broccoli or cauliflower with sesame salt

  3. Mixed berry banana smoothie

At the conclusion of the session, there will also be a discussion and Q&A session, please bring your questions. I will be able to share tools that will help you in your journey.

Food For Life is a program created by the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM) that offers nutrition and cooking education to reduce chronic diet-related illnesses. It is designed by doctors, nurses, and nutritionists.

​My Food For Life cooking classes are based on this program, aiming to teach how a plant-based diet can improve health and prevent chronic diseases.
