About Event

Part of the Commons Camus! A discussion series on Human-Centered AI.

How do we promote AI as a technology for human flourishing? What steps can we take to make AI a better tool for humanity, rather than a replacement? How can we bring AI into our own lives now and over the next few decades?

Topics will include:

  • Improving the "AI-readiness" of our Institutions, organizations, and processes

  • Connecting human ways of interacting and understanding to emerging AI systems.

  • How does the alignment problem and understanding of human values interact with the practical deployment of AI?

We will have specific content to prompt our discussions sent out closer to the event.

This event is welcome to relative newcomers and professionals in the AI space! We will start with some common grounding (perhaps with special guests!) and most of the content will not depend on specific AI knowledge. If you don't know anything about AI, please ask for some prior reading and I'm happy to send you some.
