Volunteer: HOPE 2026
Note: Register with HOPE for precise time and locations.
Every year, thousands of volunteers across the five boroughs participate in NYC’s annual Homeless Outreach Population Estimate (HOPE). Over a single day, volunteers canvass streets, subway stations, parks, and other public spaces across the city to identify individuals living unsheltered.
Instructions:
Register here on LUMA!
If you can attend HOPE 2026 on March 10, 2026, from 10:00 PM to 4:00 AM, please re-register at nyc.gov/hope.
This is an annual survey that estimates the number of people experiencing unsheltered homelessness in New York City.
The HOPE count provides critical data that helps shape how the City directs resources to address homelessness.
