Innovate Aquaculture: the solutions shaping the future
23 July 2026 · St. John's, Newfoundland · By invitation
Global aquaculture has reached a historic turning point. Demand for sustainable protein is rising, wild fisheries have plateaued, and the next decade will be defined by which regions can lead.
Atlantic Canada is one of the few with the foundations to do it: established salmon and shellfish industries, world-class marine research, cold productive waters, and proximity to North America's largest premium seafood market. What's emerging now is the connective tissue – a generation of founders, capital, and operators converging to build what comes next.
Innovate Aquaculture brings the people driving that future into the same room. Producers across salmon, shellfish, and the wider value chain. The feed and technology companies supplying them. The investors backing the sector. And the early-stage ventures shaping what's next.
