Weekly Wellbeing Walk Launch
Phones away. Feet moving. Real conversations.
Join FlippGen and Strava for the launch of a new weekly wellbeing walk in Manchester; a free, accessible morning built around one simple idea: that walking side by side, without screens, makes it easier to talk honestly about how we're really doing.
This launch event brings together young people, families, and friends for a gentle 3–4km loop, with conversation stations built in along the way. No pressure to share, no phones except to record your walk on Strava, just company, movement, and the chance to be properly present for a couple of hours.
What to expect:
🚶 A gentle, step-free walking loop (30–40 mins at conversation pace)
🧡 Small groups, open conversation stations, and no obligation to speak if you'd rather just walk
📱 A QR code to join the FlippGen wellbeing walk club on Strava and keep the momentum going weekly
☕ A voucher for food and drink at the park
Why we're doing this
Physical activity and real-life connection are two of the most powerful, low-cost tools we have for supporting youth wellbeing. This walk is the start of an ongoing, weekly community, not a one-off.
Safeguarding info
Under-16s must be accompanied by an adult (18+) for the whole walk. 16–17s attending independently need this form completed by a parent or carer.
Housekeeping
Photo consent will be collected on arrival, with an opt-out sticker available for anyone who'd rather not be photographed. A safeguarding lead will be present throughout, and sign-up is GDPR-compliant.
Come for the walk. Stay for the connection.
