Makerteers Workshop | Build your brand. Build your business.
Discover what makes your product worth choosing. Learn how to position, price and communicate your value to build a brand - and a business - that lasts.
About this event
Great products deserve great brands.
Join us on Thursday 8 October, from 6:00–9:00 PM, at The Glasgow Collective for the first Brand Development workshop in the Makerteers programme.
You might make an incredible product.
But if customers don't immediately understand why your product is different, why it matters, or why they should buy from you instead of someone else, even the best ideas can struggle to succeed.
As part of Makerteers - Scotland's first six-month venture-building programme for makers - this practical evening workshop explores how branding can become one of your greatest commercial advantages.
Whether you're launching your first product, refining an existing business or preparing to scale, this session will help you define your value, sharpen your proposition and communicate it with confidence.
What we'll cover
The final workshop content is still being refined with feedback from the founding Makerteers cohort, but we'll be exploring topics such as:
What a brand really is (and what it isn't).
Defining what makes your product genuinely different.
Understanding your ideal customer.
Positioning and pricing your products with confidence.
Building a compelling story around your products and business.
Creating a consistent identity across packaging, websites and social media.
Practical tools to help you build trust, attract customers and grow a sustainable business.
Expect practical exercises, discussion and plenty of opportunities to ask questions and learn from fellow makers.
