Take Action for Farmed Animals in Ireland!
The Irish government has just launched a public consultation on the Animal Welfare Strategy 2026–2030. This is a critical process where anyone can share their views to help shape the future of animal protection in Ireland.
The last and only Animal Welfare Strategy achieved significant progress, including increased funding, the establishment of new governance structures, and a more science-driven approach to policy.
Building on these successes, we now have the opportunity to advance even stronger and more ambitious protections for all animals, as serious welfare issues still persist. From calves separated and transported far too young, to pigs confined in restrictive stalls, to chickens packed into overcrowded sheds.
This consultation is our moment to demand meaningful change.
