Each session features an intimate, interview-style fireside chat with a leading community builder, offering insights into their journey, successes, and challenges. Moderated by Fabrik’s Co-Founder and COO, Gwen Wiscount, these conversations provide a unique perspective from two dynamic community leaders.

​Lenny An channels his culture, heritage, and passions into his community building. His life journey has winded him across different worlds, and his golden retriever, easily excitable energy has pushed him to go where his nose takes him. The two things closest to his heart these days are the AAPI community and local politics. 

​Dumpling Dude NYC is his venture into AAPI community building, where he shares his love of his Chinese culture with the world around him. It started off as dumpling-making workshops as team-building events and has evolved to include intimate dumpling dinner parties revolving around deeper discussion topics. His interests have also broadened into teaching the history and art of mahjong, both with Green Tile Social Club and hosting his own private lessons with organizations such as Leland Eating & Drinking House and Chief.

​Locally Sourced NYC captures his latest focus into local NYC politics. The mission of Locally Sourced is to teach New Yorkers what local politics is, how it impacts their lives, and how to get involved through the vehicle of in-person experiences. His work has led him to partner with local city and state officials, NYC advocacy organizations, and city-wide officials. His goal is to shift politics from something that happens TO us into something that happens BECAUSE of us.
