About Event

Join The Madrid Review LIVE at the beautiful María Pandora for a very special edition celebrating World Book Day and Sant Jordi!

To mark one of the most exciting days of the year for book lovers, we have brought together a cross section of readers, of different nationalities, who have chosen extracts from some of their favourite authors with the underlying theme of conflict.

The readers:

Marjorie Hutchinson - Scotland

Kate Marriage - England

Lucille Galleli - India

Patricia Corrigan - Northern Ireland

Julie Hoare - England

Robert Yelito - USA

We look forward to seeing you on the 22nd April!

This event is organised by Jayne Marshall and James Hartley and Patricia Corrigan.

Patricia Corrigan, one of the "old-timers" in Madrid, after a few stints in various academies, set up her own business - English Peak - in 2011, from which she retired 3 years ago, which now allows her time to devote to her first loves- cinema, theatre and literature.

Jayne Marshall is a writer and editor. Her first book A Line Drawn or Printed: Six Routes Through Madrid was recently published by Modern Odyssey Books. She is also Associate Editor of The Madrid Review

James Hartley is the founder and editor of The Madrid Review, a bilingual literary magazine based in Madrid and showcasing emerging and established writers worldwide. In recent issues, the magazine has had the pleasure of interviewing the likes of Salman Rushdie, Colm Tóibín, Simon Armitage, Margaret Jull Costa, Rosa Montero and Javier Sierra.
