UK 6/6 Virtual Happiest Hour
What is idealist?
The world is hurting, people are lonely, and it’s becoming harder to make friends. We want to build community, connect with strangers and make life better through kindness and friendship.
Who is running this?
**This is a non-political, non-religious, unfunded global movement that focuses on the human side of humanity — connection through kindness.**
What’s the plan?
Once a month, we do something to make our little corner of the world a better place.
There are in-person events in certain cities, but to make sure everyone can participate — and maybe even start their own local meet-up — we also host a relaxed virtual monthly meet-up with people from all over the UK. It always takes place on a matching date each month: 5/5, 6/6, 7/7, etc.
The monthly Google Meet link will be posted here closer to the date.
The call starts at 4pm, but if you’re running late, please still feel free to drop in — we’ll be happy to have you!
It’s BYOB: tea, coffee, water, beer, wine, milk — whatever drink makes you happiest (and is age-appropriate, haha).
By bringing people together from different places, you might make new friends nearby and even organise in-person meet-ups in the future.
There are no requirements or expectations. If you are a human being of any kind, you are welcome.
How many people are involved?
This is a global movement with over 5,000 people across 83 countries. This is the United Kingdom initiative to bring people together.
What do I do now?
Please register so we have an idea of the attendance and so you can receive updates about the event.

Where can I get more info about idealist Days?
Why is the "i" in idealist sometimes uppercase and sometimes lowercase?
The official branded name is with a lowercase i. However, to people that aren't familiar with idealist, it could look like a typo. :)
