AI-First Product Strategy Workshop: Designing & Prioritizing AI-First Opportunities - workshop at Compass AI & Tech Summit
Overview:
The workshop introduces the difference between AI-enabled and AI-native products, and explores how probabilistic AI changes traditional UX and product strategy. Participants work through a fictional fintech case in small product squads to identify and prioritize meaningful AI opportunities rather than defaulting to “another chatbot.” The workshop examines different interaction models – agent, co-pilot, and ambient AI – and the trust, control, and usability risks associated with each. It also looks at the realities of designing AI for high-stakes contexts, including error rates, latency, inference costs, compliance, and stakeholder concerns. Through practical exercises, participants apply these considerations to product decisions and evaluate the real business and user value of proposed AI features. The goal is to leave participants with a more strategic framework for deciding where AI belongs, what form it should take, and whether it creates enough value to justify its complexity and risk.
