The Road Show: Austin Founder BBQ
As part of “The Road Show,” a year-long series where I’m hosting a venture capital event in every state in the US, I’m coming to Austin for BBQ with local founders, investors, and operators. I’m co-hosting this dinner with Umar Brimah and Rho. Join us on Tuesday, November 10 from 6 to 8 PM Central to talk about what you’re building over dinner.
We have a fixed capacity, so attendance is by approval only. The venue and meetup instructions will be shared privately with approved guests. Please do not come unless your registration has been approved.
Rho helps startups manage business banking, corporate cards, and expenses in one place. Rho is a financial technology company, not a bank.
I’m the founder of Atas VC, an early-stage venture capital firm focused on investing in pre-seed companies using real technology to solve real problems for real people: American Necessities. My core belief is that great founders can come from any background; often, the founders best suited to solve problems in core American industries like agriculture, energy, or manufacturing won’t be located in Silicon Valley.
I’m also a bit of a niche TikTok micro-influencer. I’m documenting The Road Show for an audience interested in startups and venture capital, highlighting founders outside the typical VC haunts.
Social media and filming
Filming is strictly opt-in. Registering or attending does not mean you consent to being filmed; I’ll ask for your explicit permission before recording or featuring you. You’re equally welcome to attend without appearing on camera.
Follow along on Instagram and TikTok for stops, clips, and updates. Following or posting is optional and is not a condition of attending.
