About Event
The 9/11 Memorial is a place of remembrance, reflection, and connection for people from New York and around the world.
Volunteers will support the care and beautification of the Memorial Plaza through hands-on activities such as collecting acorns, weeding, cleaning railings, and more.
The experience will begin with a brief welcome from a year-round Memorial volunteer, who will share their experience caring for the Memorial. Students will then spend 1.5–2 hours helping maintain the Plaza, contributing to the care of a space that holds profound meaning for many visitors.
As a thank-you, volunteers will receive complimentary admission to the 9/11 Memorial Museum, which can be used after volunteering or at another time.
