Valley of the Commons

​Valley of the Commons is a four-week pop-up village, seeded and nurtured at commons hub and held by the forests, mountains, and open skies of the Austrian Alps. We gather to envision and practice life beyond extractive systems.

​Together, we lay the foundations for permanence by sharing both craft and knowledge - on future living, governance, cosmolocal production, open value accounting, and funding models in community living.

​The vision is simple: to seed the valley. Leveraging the Zuzalu pop-up village model, we seek to pave the way toward a permanent, commons-based settlement in Lower Austria -a space that’s economically viable, socially cohesive, and prepared to meet the challenges of our time.
