BADideas 12h Hackathon
BADideas.fund and BuilderBase are bringing together developers, designers, product/business people, and generally curious builders for a 12-hour hackathon during TechChill week.
We’re excited to share that Anthropic is powering the build: every accepted participant gets $25 in Claude credits, so a typical 4-person team has around $100 to prototype with during the day.
This hackathon has three sponsor-built tracks, hosted by Swotzy, Salesforge, and Desktop Commander — meaning you won’t just “build whatever,” you’ll have real challenges, real people from the companies in the room, and a much higher chance of shipping something useful.
You can come solo or as a team — teams are typically 1–4 people, and if you come alone, we’ll help you find teammates once you’re onboarded.
Free food, snacks, and drinks will be available throughout the day, because 12 hours is a marathon.
And there’s a real upside: the winning teams from each track will be invited to TechChill 2026 main conference and an investors-only side event on March 26 (hosted by BADideas.fund + partners), with ~60–70 attendees and a very investor-heavy crowd. If you build something solid, you’ll have a chance to showcase it 🔥
Once you're approved, make sure to register on BuilderBase. All event activity - registration, team formation, submissions, and support will happen there - https://www.builderbase.com/v2/event/build-bad-ideas
Photos will be taken during the event and may be used in post-event communications.
TechChill runs March 25–27 in Riga. Learn more and grab a pass at https://www.techchill.co/.
